Looks Like Murt Second At Kelso

Looks Like Murt was nabbed on the line in the two and a half mile novice hurdle, but he ran a super race, travelling as strongly as ever and enjoying being back on the track. An athletic horse who is fairly lightly raced up to now he will probably be back chasing next time.

Shanroe Street could have done with softer ground as the principles kicked away from him, however, he stayed on and his fourth place will be improved on over a longer trip.

Otello Moor ran a promising race on just his second start. He was a little keen early on but then settled and hurdled well; a longer trip may be the key to him. His brother, Slainte Mhor look at sea in the three mile novice chase, getting over brave at the fences and subsequently making costly mistakes.

The chase winner, Izzy's Champion was rather erratic on his return to hurdles, but this run should help focus his mind next time, whether that be over hurdles or fences.
